There are many means of making money with little or no financial investment and effort on your part. In this article we are going to highlight some ways which you can add some residual income to your earnings. This article will focus on the aspect of people wanting to get all they want with ease or at the comfort of their computer. The Job here being described is the work of an Agent.
1. Property Agent
A property agent (also known as a Realtor) is a fast growing job with great revenue and income. These property agents look for vacant apartments, houses and landed properties that are available for lease, rent or even for sale.
A property agent meets the owner of the property and discuss on the terms of agreement and benefits when he brings a client to rent, lease or even buy the property at the agreed amount.
The property agent then goes out in search of a client who is interested in the property and then brings him or her to the owner.
In some areas of this country, a property agent who brought a client to rent an apartment can get a minimum of five percent (5%) of the total rent paid to the owner of the property and in some cases it goes higher up to ten percent (10%).
Properties for outright sale, property agents get sometime five percent (5%) and sometimes even more than five percent. This to some extent depends on the bargaining power of the property agent and on the agreement between him and the buyer and seller.
It is worth mentioning here that the percentage mentionedis paid to the property agent by both the buyer and the seller of the property. So at the end of the day he the agent goes home with at least ten percent of the property cost.
Now you may start wondering how to start searching for vacant properties or the owners of the properties. This is very tiring and could be embarrassing sometimes. But do not worry there is a fool proof means of getting it done.
Go to major junctions, you will see adverts for properties kept by existing agents in the locality, call these agents and discuss with them of profit sharing formula for each client you bring for them, either for apartment or for property.
SO you don’t have to go looking for properties and owners, all you need to do is get the contacts of these on the ground agents and agree with them. When you get a client, you refer them to the on the ground agent whom you have agreed with.
The on the ground agent takes the client to the property and subsequently to the owner of the property for payment. After payment, the on the ground agent send you your percentage as agreed for the client you brought to him. This is very easy to accomplish, right?
2. Car Dealers Agent
Cars are one of the products with high demand in the country today. Just park a car by the roadside and put “For Sale” and see the number of people that will stop by and ask how much is it going for? This shows that there is high demand for cars, whether brand new, Belgium (Tokunbo) or even Nigerian used. So how can you make some extra income from the car that is not yours?
Simple, you walk up to the owner and tell him you are an agent and you have a lot of buyers in need of his brand of car. So you ask him how much he is willing to sell the car minimum and how much commission in percentage he will give you when you bring a buyer. After agreeing on the percentage you go out in search for a buyer, when you get one you bring him to the seller and then after the sales, you get your commission.
Note that this requires that you take the picture of the car so that you can show people whom you tell about the car. This helps stirs up their interest to buy when they see the picture of the car.
Meanwhile you can also scale up the price of the car when you meet a buyer who is crazy about the car. In a case where the seller refuses on commission, you have to let him know that in this case whatever you add to his selling price is your own benefit and he should not interfere with that. With this arrangement on ground, sometime you can even make more than percentage or commission can give to you after a successful sale. Now how do you get clients who are interested in buying a car? Continue to read the article.
There are car dealers everywhere in the country with so many brands of cars that are new and satisfy different choice. Walk in to these dealer stands and strike your deal.
3. Equipment Dealers Agent
There are a lot of equipment out there in the market for sale and a lot of buyers looking for this equipment to buy. Many equipment companies are not good when it comes to advertising their products. So with your present as an agent to them you can advertise their products and sell them on commission as agreed with the shop owners.
You have to go and discuss with the shop owners or equipment owner on terms and conditions of your service as an agent to his company. This will help you know what you will get for any product you sell for them.
Equipment available for sale includes Generators (Petrol, Diesel, Sound proof and regular), Manufacturing machines (Tissue Paper Rewinding machine, bottling machine, sacheting machine, soap making machine, mixers, boilers ), House hold gadgets (washing machine, Water pumps, Electric and gas cookers, Dish washing machine, water heaters, water dispensers ) etc.
The list goes on and on, you can mention them. So go out there and get your contacts and start making your residual income.

These skills are highly sought for and people keep looking for where they will learn them and get the secrets to succeeding in that field.

Do you have a skill, a skill that is needed by others, by a company or any other institution? Every company, Institution, or office complex does have services which they contract outsiders to offer them. Can you make yourself available to offer these services?
There are so many services needed by many companies which they require services of an external contractor, below are a list of services you can offer;

Photography
All you need do is walk into these companies, business places and fill their vendor or contractors registration form and provide all necessary documents needed and you are in. Note that some companies do not pay cash but will rather give you a PO (Purchase Order) with which you can secure fund from your bank and supply the products. For some services, even private homes and wealthy individuals require them too.
This requires that you have to beef up the supply price such that the 75% of the total cost which the bank will give you will cover the price of all the goods to supply and some profits too. When the money is being paid to your account, the bank withdraws their 75% and the balance is more profit for you.

7. Waste Disposal Service
Waste disposal service is a very lucrative business with increasing demand in Nigeria today. This is because as the city is improving on its civilization standards and people, individuals and families no longer have enough time for activities like waste disposal. In addition to that civilization has moved waste gathering points far away from residential areas thereby making it difficult and more expensive to do it yourself. So here comes the need for a waste disposal service provider who gathers waste from the area for a token and then sends them to a waste gathering point for proper disposal by the government.
8. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is the process of selling another person’s product for a commission. This is a very simple form of marketing because you do not have to bother about sourcing for products. All you have to do is pick a product of choice and discuss with the seller on the commission for every sale you make.
How to Get your Customers
For any product to sell in large quantity, it must have popularity. People must know that this product exist and this is where you can get it. To get this done, there are cheap and easy way to advertise your products to people both far and near. In this article we will only highlight the two most popular means now in Nigeria;
1. Facebook
Facebook is a social networking site with well over 1.7 billion active members trying to connect with friends and family and colleagues. Research has shown that people spend so much money on data just to be able to  shareinformation on social media platforms. But at the same time, few people make money from social media platforms and use it to b=pay bills and also buy data for their use. How can you make money from Facebook.
Simple, some of you, yes you have reached your friends limit of 5000 friends on Facebook. This is your market. Post the pictures and article of your products for friends and family to see it. They will start calling you for thosesame products. Where you have 500 friends viewing your product, there is high probability that you will make good sales every month and scoop in some cool cash.
2. Whatsapp
Whatsapp is another social media handle that is readily available in the smart phone of every Nigerian, so why not use this social medium to advertise your products to friends on your contact list. This makes it easier for sale because they know and believe in you. So they will most likely not question your products and services. They will always come back so long as your product or service meets their taste or requirements.
As Nigerian cities continues to grow I civilization and population, there will be more demands for different kind of products, and most especially products that do not need money to start marketing. Everyone today who does not have jobs or just a just a graduate should create jobs by themselves instead of waiting for the government or big companies to them with jobs. It is worth mentioning that these jobs highlighted in this article pay more than any average job available in Nigeria.
All you have to do is to master your locality and identify what product will profit you easily and which product is easy for you to market, then start immediately because you already have all the tools, skills and talents needed to become the next millionaire.

Definition and Important Fact about Community College in USA

Common Difference between TOEFL, IBT, and TOEFL PBT. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
A community college is a type of educational college. The term can have dissimilar meanings in different countries: most community colleges have an “open enrollment” with a high school completion, but usually refer to an educational foundation that provides workforce education and college transfer academic programs.
In this article, we are going to discuss more on community college in the USA and its important fact.

Definition

Community college occasionally called a junior college is a two-year school that offers reasonably priced higher education as a pathway to a four-year degree. According to the American Association of Community Colleges, there are about 1,167 community colleges in the United States. Completing a 2-year degree at a community college is called an associate’s degree.
The benefits of attending a community college is that students can save money by attending a community college for two years and then transfer to a 4-year university where they will complete their degree. The average cost of attending public community college is $2,713 per year.
By comparison, the average cost of attending a public four-year college or university is $7,605 per year.
In addition to saving money, many community colleges offer certificates and degrees in specialized career-oriented fields, such as engineering technology, automobile mechanics, or paralegal studies, that allows students to enter the workforce quicker than they would at a 4-year university.
Many community colleges are now offering select bachelor’s degrees in addition to associate’s degrees. Because of this many community colleges have changed their names removing ‘community’ and calling themselves a ‘college’ due to offering a 4-year degree program. For example, Bellevue Community College is now Bellevue College and Seattle Central Community College is now Seattle Central College.
The Community College Mission
Contemporary deliberations regarding the mission, role, and function of the community college rely on historical notions of the evolution of the college. If one chooses to emphasize the vocational education stream, one may reach the conclusion that community colleges are post-high school, but not higher education.
If one examines the success of students who otherwise would not have attended college, then one may conclude that community colleges track students into certain social strata or advance their station in society.
Examining the adult education and community services function leads one to conclude that the institutions’ roots are to be found there. In short, a comprehensive community college incorporates an eclectic set of educational philosophies and purposes into its mission.

Common Difference between TOEFL, IBT, and TOEFL PBT

Common Difference between TOEFL, IBT, and TOEFL PBT. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
TOEFL is one of the recognized English language ability tests in the world, but you have to know the difference between the two main types of exams TOEFL IBT and TOEFL ITP? International students have to make many a unique decision when planning to study in the USA.
Some have to decide if they need to take the TOEFL or IELTS exam depending on the program to which they are applying. Overall, most international students will take the TOEFL exam, once they have decided to study in the USA. Many international students do not know there are two versions of the TOEFL exam.
In this article, we will give you some tips below that will help you clarify the differences and decide which test suits your interests.

TOEFL IBT

Forget the TOEFL PBT: this “Printed Based Test” no longer takes place in most countries. In the year 2012, it gave way to TOEFL IBT, the “Interne- Based Test”.
This change does not need your application for a program abroad in any way since IBT is yet the most requested test by international institutions and is currently chosen by 96% of those submitting to a TOEFL assessment.
TOEFL IBT testing format is divided by four assessment parameters: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Each one of these sections has a score of 0-30, which, all added together, can reach a maximum score of 120 points.
ETS is TOEFL’s international representative organization, which profits from agreements with test application centers across many countries worldwide. This means that, even if you’re living far away from your country’s capital, you can avoid traveling thousands of miles carrying the pressure on your shoulders. By accessing TOEFL’s official website, you can check the dates and cities where the TOEFL examinations are conducted, as well as their costs.
If in the past, this exam was mainly sought out by students wanting to study in the US or Australia, today’s reality is quite different: TOEFL IBT is widely accepted in over 30 countries, including the UK. All you need to do is to check the necessities of the programs of your interest before enrolling any test.
If you’re applying for a student visa, this exam can also ease the whole process. Usually, showing evidence of English proficiency is one of the requirements following a visa request.

TOEFL ITP

This exam is only suitable for those who want to measure their English level for personal reasons or within an academic context to boost a job application or even to assess the effectiveness of an English language course.
Of course, there are exceptions: some national exchange programs may accept both TOEFL IBT and ITP for certain cases. Also, some institutions based in countries where English is not the official language actually welcome all kinds of TOEFL. However, note that accepting TOEFL ITP during the admission process is not a very common practice among international institutions, especially in English speaking countries.
ITP’s questions and content are very similar to what you would find in a college exam. Assessments are made in oral and reading comprehension, plus structure and written expression. Therefore, this is a good option for those who struggle with their speaking skills, since that part is not analyzed.

Still on the Differences

TOEFL IBT is 4 hours test; the score scale is from 0-120. In this even you get performance feedback skill for each skill in the test report.
Whereas TOEFL PBT is 3 hours test, the score scale is 310-677but in TOEFL PBT you don’t get any performance feedback regarding each skill in the test report.

Cost of TOEFL IBT and TOEFL PBT

The cost of TOEFL IBT differs from country to country which lies between $140- $185
Whereas the cost of TOEFL PBT is fixed that is $140.

TOEFL IBT

The TOEFL IBT exam is given online through the Internet at testing sites. It is recommended that you have basic typing skills in order to complete this exam in a timely manner. This exam measures writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills.
The test is administered very frequently throughout the year at various locations. The test takes about 3-4 hours to complete. This format of the exam is generally the only option students will have at most locations where they will be taking the TOEFL exam.

TOEFL PBT

TOEFL PBT exam is administered via a paper and pencil format. This exam measures listening, reading, writing and grammar skills. This exam is only offered in areas where the Internet is not available. The test takes about 2.5 hours to complete. This exam is being phased out and the TOEFL IBT will be the primary TOEFL exam given to international students.
In conclusion, we have been able to provide the difference between the two tests, but the last string always depends on the person taking the test which is you.
Ask yourself which of them makes you more comfortable and according to your strengths, you should choose the one.

What is a Community College in USA – What You Need to Know?

What is a Community College in USA – What You Need to Know?. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
What is a Community College in USA… The American education system offers many choices for higher education to international scholars. There are Communities College, universities, and more. Numerous international students are not familiar with the American education system and therefore, may not understand what a community college is.
In this article, we are going to focus on what you need to know about a community college in the USA.

What is a Community College in the USA?

Community college, at times called a junior college, is a two-year school that offers reasonably priced higher education as a pathway to a four-year degree. According to the American Association of Community Colleges, there are 1,167 community colleges in the United States.
Finishing a 2-year degree at a community college is called an associate’s degree.
The advantages of attending a community college are that students can save money by attending a community college for two years and then transfer to a 4-year university where they will complete their degree.
Many community colleges are now offering select bachelor’s degrees in addition to associate’s degrees. Because of this many community colleges have changed their names removing ‘community’ and calling themselves a ‘college’ due to offering a 4-year degree program.

Community College

The first step to studying in the United States is researching your options to find a college that best fits your needs.
Community colleges offer two-year programs leading to the Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree. These colleges also have technical and vocational programs with close links to secondary schools, community groups, and employers in the local community.
Undergraduate students studying at community colleges can earn academic credit towards a bachelor’s degree. Earning academic credit at a community college, which is usually less expensive, can help lower the overall cost of a bachelor’s degree. Community colleges may also have a more flexible admissions process.
Community colleges often lead the United States in educating students in cutting-edge fields such as biomedical technology, robotics, laser optics, internet and computer technologies, and geographic information systems. The small size of classes at community colleges can be highly beneficial for international students as they adjust to the pace of U.S. academic life and practice their English-language skills.
Community colleges offer a variety of support services and cross-cultural programs, including tutoring, advising, career planning, study skills, and counseling many designed specifically for international students.

Advantages of Community Colleges

Community colleges emphasize the needs of local students and the local job market. Students who could not afford campus or off-site housing at a four-year college, or for other reasons cannot relocate, can attend courses while staying in their local community.
1. Although an associate degree is typically less financially lucrative in the long term than a bachelor’s degree, it can still provide a respectable income at much less cost in time, tuition, student loans, and lost earnings, along with the option of upgrading to a bachelor’s degree at a later time.
Even ten years after graduation, there are many people with certificates and associate degrees in fields where they earn more money than the average B.A. holder. In spite of persistently high unemployment, there is still a demand for some skilled trades that do not require a bachelor’s degree, such as paralegals,  mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
2. Community college professors may be solely dedicated to teaching, and classes may be small. In comparison, a large university college course may be taught to 300+ students by a teaching assistant, while the professor attends to research duties.
Outside of those teaching in the technical and vocational fields, most instructors at community colleges have master’s degrees and many hold doctoral degrees. In addition, community college professors can help students achieve their goals, work more closely with them, and offer them support, while at four-year colleges and universities, a professor is also often expected to conduct academic research, and in some cases, to mentor graduate students.
3. A number of community colleges have athletic programs; certain colleges also serve as incubators for college athletes, particularly in baseball, basketball, and football. A talented player who would not meet the academic or athletic standards of a major college program may be able to play for two years in junior college, establishing an academic record in the process, and then transfer to the major college.

Disadvantages of Community Colleges

1. Transferring credit scan sometimes be a problem, as each four-year college has its own requirements for enrollment. However, many four-year colleges have made arrangements, known as articulation agreements, allowing associate degrees to qualify for transfer, some cases allowing the student to complete the bachelor’s degree via distance learning from the community college campus.
Some states have passed rules whereby certain associate degrees in a field will automatically transfer to state universities as the core curriculum for specified bachelor’s degrees. Minnesota, Alabama, and Oregon have created a statewide “transfer curriculum” allowing credits to be transferred to any other public university and almost all of the private colleges.
2. While community colleges are open enrollment institutions, meaning they accept and enroll all prospective students as long as fees are paid and the student enrolls in classes, this open door policy is often seen as a revolving door, with many students, nearly 2/3 not completing their education.
3. There is a historic connotation that community colleges and for-profit colleges are often considered schools of last resort, because of their open-admissions policies, which may reflect poorly upon students who were unable to receive admission to a college offering a wider variety of degree programs.Their open-admissions policies have been the subject of sarcastic humor in popular media.
So far, some information has been given on what a community college in the US is.

I Am Not President Buhari’s Spare Tyre - Osinbajo Says

I Am Not President Buhari’s Spare Tyre - Osinbajo Says. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo says he is not a spare tyre to the president, emphasizing that his roles as the number two citizen are spelt out in the constitution.
Osinbajo said this during the vice-presidential debate organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) on Friday.
He said this differs from the constitution of other countries.
Asked how taking the job of the vice-president has been since he assumed office over three years, Osinbajo said the demand of the role has since increased his grey hair.
He, however, said despite the herculean nature of his job, it has also been rewarding.
I am sure that those who know me quite well know that my hair was not this grey when I started out in 2015. So really, it has been tasking,” Osinbajo said.
“And it has also been an incredibly rewarding experience especially looking at it from the point of view of the ability to do the things that one wanted to do all along as an individual.
“The role is one where you are in many senses the chief adviser to the president of the country and possibly the one person that would represent him when he is absent for a meeting and even when he is absent for a longer period.
“So there is a sense in which the role of the vice president is one that very closely mirrors the role of the president in very profound ways.
“But our vice-presidency is different from that of other countries. Because unlike other countries, even countries that have similar constitutions, our own constitution actually specifies role for the vice president. The vice president is the chairman of the national economic council…that is a constitutional role.
“In some senses, those who say the role of the vice president is like a spare tyre have it wrong because they are probably looking at other jurisdictions. In our jurisdiction, there are specific roles that the vice-president is entitled by law to perform.
“The vice president is also the chairman of the NCP, that is the national council of privatisation, the vice president is also statutory chairman over 22 parastatals and agencies and these are defined by law.
“That role is one that a good degree of trust is required between the president and the vice president. The role of the vice-president is one which also requires, I think, a great deal of patience because you may not always agree with the policies.”

List Of 39 People President Buhari Just Banned From Travelling Abroad

List Of 39 People President Buhari Just Banned From Travelling Abroad. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
The presidency, has identified and submitted the names of 39 persons alleged to have looted Nigeria’s treasury to the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, in order to stop them from traveling abroad.
Chairman of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Funds, SPIPRPP, Chief Okoi Obono Obla, made the disclosure at a press briefing yesterday in Abuja.
According to Obla, the action was in accordance with the provisions of the Executive Order No 6 of 2018, which Naija News recalls was recently signed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking further, he said the panel in partnership with the Nigerian Intelligence Agency, NIA, was investigating some Nigerians allegedly implicated in the Paradise Panama Papers and Nigerians and the general public will be given full details at the right time.
The panel already has 39 persons currently under its investigation, and according to the chairman, the list includes the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, in Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma; former Senate President, David Mark; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole among others.
In his words, “The Presidential Panel has requested the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), to place a travel ban on some persons who are alleged to have abused their offices and looted our commonwealth.
“The panel is investigating the Tumsah brothers: Tijani Tumsah (Vice Chairman, Presidential Initiative on North East) and Ibrahim Tumsah (Director, Finance and Accounts, Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing) for alleged abuse of office, corruption and possession of unaccounted suspicious wealth beyond their legitimate earnings.
“The Panel has recovered an assortment of 86 brand-new luxury and sophisticated cars from the duo; 23 of those vehicles are bullet-proof without the requisite permits.
“Also recovered from them are several choice properties, located in highbrow areas of Abuja and a quarry in Kuje, the Federal Capital Territory. The panel has since obtained an interim order of forfeiture from FCT High Court in Abuja in respect of these properties.
“In a counter move, typical of corruption fighting back, the duo recently approached Court of Appeal that held that the panel does not have power to obtain interim forfeiture from the FCT High Court pursuant to the EFCC Act but from the Federal High Court pursuant to the recovery of public property (special provision) Act 2004 which has mischievously been misinterpreted and deliberately propagated by the appellants to mean that this panel has no power to prosecute any matter in any court.
“Some of these other pronouncements obviously reached ‘per incuriam’ have been challenged at the Supreme Court.”

I Am Never Responsible For Your Incompetence And Failures Today – Jonathan

I Am Never Responsible For Your Incompetence And Failures Today – Jonathan. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has told the President Buhari-led APC administration that it can not be blamed for its non-performance in office.
The opposition party said this in response to Garba Shehu, presidential spokesperson’s submission that former president, Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for the delay in appointment of ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Initially, Shehu in a TV interview, had said the Jonathan administration, failed to cooperate with the transition committee which according to him, accounted for the delay in the appointment of members of the federal cabinet.
Recall it took President Buhari about six months to form his cabinet.
Reacting, Dr Jonathan through his media adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, said it has become worrisome,  what he described as the unending habit of the Buhari administration even near election to blame the past administration for its perceived failures.
The statement reads:
“Our attention has been drawn to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu in which he blamed the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint ministers until six months after taking over office on the administration of former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.”
“Speaking on a Channels television programme on Monday December 17, Shehu had claimed that it took President buhari who was sworn in on May 29, 2015 until November 11, 2015 to appoint his ministers because the “President was given handover notes 48 hours to the handover of power”.
“As strange as that particular assertion may sound, it still beggars belief that a spokesman of a President who is seeking re-election would still be looking for a scapegoat for the administration’s failure, at a time he should be showcasing his scorecard.”
“That amounts to merely clutching at straws. One thing is as clear as daylight: The Jonathan administration has absolutely nothing to do with the failure of this government to appoint ministers early enough to inspire confidence in investors because it is obvious that handover notes from a predecessor does not contain the list of ministers for the incoming administration.”
“However, that is even making light of Garba Shehu’s unending embarrassing gaffe. It is expected that a man who has been around the corridors of power for that long, beginning from when he served as a media adviser under President Obasanjo for years, should understand Government’s basic functions and procedures.”
“Handover notes, being transitioning documents, are usually received by an incoming President from his predecessor at the time of change of government. It is not a document that guides a President to appoint his ministers.”
“Under normal circumstances, a newly inaugurated President needs the support of his ministers, who would handle different departments of Government, to study and understand his handover notes for effective performance of his initial duties.”
“Those who think like Shehu that a Government would not function properly if it does not receive handover notes in time, should be reminded that there is no law establishing the process. It is simply a matter of convenience for an outgoing President to develop handover notes to guide his successor understand key issues and hit the ground running.”
“In his own case, former president Jonathan magnanimously set up a transition team that produced the handover document which President Buhari received ahead of his inauguration. Anyone who uses handover notes to justify a President’s indiscretion of not appointing ministers until after spending six months in power, is either being mischievous or does not really understand governance processes.”
Also reacting to Shehu’s submission, the PDP in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, said:
“It is unfortunate that the Presidency will always resort to peddling falsehood as a cover for its failures. “It is a settled matter that President Buhari could not form a cabinet for over five months after his inauguration, primarily due to sheer incompetence, lack of preparedness and the fact that he was overwhelmed by the complexity of the office of the President of Nigeria.”

All You Need To Know About the Term GPA

All You Need To Know About the Term GPA. | Continue Reading, If You Have Any Question or Suggestion Please Drop Your Comments Below.
One thing that can get a student frustrated is your GPA. Your GPA (Grade Point Average), is a number that indicates how high or how low you scored in your courses. This number is used to assess whether you meet the standards and expectations set by the university. So what’s a GPA ad how does it work? That is what I will be telling you in this article.

How Does a GPA Work?

Just the same way that your professors and instructors give you a grade to assess your progress or achievement in their course, your Grade Point Average is likewise a score used to assess your success during the whole of your degree programme. It’s an average number that shows what you typically scored in your classes all through the semester, term, and year. Your GPA can go up and down all through your time at the university, and will change according to how much you advance your overall grades (or, in some cases, how much you fell behind).

Grading Systems and GPA

Since grading systems vary in other parts of the world, we’ll first have to work through some of the ways that different countries and universities use their grading system to devise a student’s GPA.
There are a few usual ways that grades are marked all through the world
  • A – F is the ways used in countries like the U.S., Canada, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, etc.
  • 1 – 10 are the ways used in countries like Netherlands, Colombia, Latvia, Macedonia, Israel, etc.
  • 1 – 5 are ways used by countries like (Germany, Austria, Russia, Slovakia, Paraguay, etc.)
  • And Percentage (Kuwait, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, etc.)
There are other usual methods that universities use in order to assess and score students. Yet, in order to make these grades adaptable – that is, readable to other countries and universities – they will often use an averaging score system.

How do you Calculate a Grade Point Average?

Every grade that you receive being the numbering system, letter-grade system, or percentage system, corresponds to a quality point. A quality point is nearly always on a scale between 0 and 4, or is a multiple of 4. The utmost grade that you can get (A, 10, 5, 100%, and so on) will equal the highest number on that scale.
For instance, in the U.S. an A is the uppermost grade you can receive in your classes. Dependent on which school you attend in the U.S., A is either equivalent to 4, or it is equivalent to a multiple of 4 (e.g. 8 or 16). After you take a few classes, these points are sum up and divided by the number of courses you took. The number you get is your Grade Point Average.
If you have  mostly received B’s all through your university education, then your GPA is probable to be around 3.0 – 3.2 (give or take), and this is approximately what a B average looks like.
How do I Keep a High GPA?
Preserving a high GPA isn’t always easy; and if you begin with a low GPA at the beginning of your study programme, it is much tougher to raise later on (thanks, mathematics). But, on the other hand, if you remain to exceed in your courses and you happen to slip in your 3rd year with a less-than-average grade, your GPA will not be sternly damaged. So, we will often commend – especially for first-time college students – take entry-level, easier classes at the beginning of your degree programme, during your first year, so that you have a better chance of starting with a higher GPA.
Your GPA will change and differ all through the years; but having in mind what your GPA is every semester will give you a good sign of how well you are doing in your courses overall (and, perhaps, whether you need to improve).
Why is the GPA so Important?
All through your university education, your GPA is really the only metric or calculation showing how good of a student you are, and whether you’ve been doing well during the degree programme. Though you will clearly know yourself whether you have passed and excelled in your courses, your GPA gives a wider indication of your general grades and scores.
In the course of your During your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme, you will be asked to make available your GPA. Here are a few examples:
  • applying for a scholarship,
  • joining a group or club,
  • doing any extra  activities,
  • Applying for a graduate or post-graduate programme.
So, in numerous ways, your GPA is the primarily used to unlock other exciting things during your study. When organizations want to know what sort of student you are – whether you’re a hard-working, determined student, or a slacker who is not excelling in his or her coursework – they depend on on your GPA. Organizations, scholarship committees, clubs, and universities want high-achieving, hard-working students; and so they want someone with a high GPA.

Full Disclosure: your GPA is Important, but it isn’t Everything

It may seem partial that, during your time at university, they seem to only care about one number, rather than other achievements that you may have during your academic career. Several students feel that, while their grades may be less-than-perfect, they still feel they are hard-working, ambitious students.
Just because you have a low GPA does not mean that you are unintelligent, or that you are not a hard-working student. A low GPA can mean that you took harder classes to begin with; or that during some semesters you were too distracted to complete your assignments in the best way you could; or that you were figuring out how to be a university student, and now you’ve finally figured out how to study. Whatever the case is, your GPA is not an indication of your worth as a student or whether you are smart enough for college.
